The 420 friendly place to be in Gulf Gate Sarasota! So, we have eaten at Monk's Steamer Bar across the street several times. I had noticed Munchies 420 before, but Bruce was oblivious. Then I saw the Man V Food episode ... I really wanted to try it. Bruce wanted to go see the Eagles game so we ran an errand in Sarasota & headed for Gulf Gate. We were greeted by Brad, the awesome bartender. So here's the rundown - Great Happy Hour prices & choices. Very reasonable. We ate ... Cheesesteak Quesadilla - 4.5 stars Fries - 4 stars Cheeseburger - 4 stars This is a very friendly, down to earth dive bar with 420 friendly food. The name says it all. We're 420 friendly also, so Munchies 420 see ya again soon! Recommended for NFL ... and those who complained about not getting food fast? Did u think u were at the Taco Bell drive thru not MUNCHIES 420??? PS it does not smell like a latrine. The actual latrine was pretty clean.

The bartender was laid-back and mixed up some fantastic drinks to start the night off right. I went all in with the Garbage Philly--loaded with sautéed onions, mushrooms, peppers, black olives, banana peppers, pickles, lettuce, tomato, and both cheeses. Talk about a treat! And as someone who misses Jersey disco fries, I can honestly say Munchies 420 does them justice. Five stars for delivering exactly what you expect--no frills, just great, indulgent food and a fun atmosphere. If you're craving comfort with a side of happy, Munchies 420 won't disappoint!

Really great food and service. All the options looked so good and service was super personable and kind. Felt like a dive restaurant but it made the atmosphere great. Def coming back!
